I am a young 45 year old single lady raising my 5 year old grandaughter. While I am very grateful to be young and active to raise my grandaughter, I still find I am somewhat isolated socially. My friends have all like myself had their children in their mid 20''s and are now enjoying their careers and social lives. I am the only one with a young child and while they try to include me it''s not always appropriate. I love my grandaughter dearly, but at school the mum''s are average age 20-30, so I feel like a square peg in a round hole. If there are other young grandparents out there please let me know how you get on, maybe pass on some tips. Thanks
