Surf Life Saving

Surf Life Saving Queensland offers three (3) exciting Programs for children and youth aged between 5 and 18 years of age. These programs consist of Junior Activities (5-12); Active Cadets (13-15) and Active Juniors (15-18).
Junior Activities focuses on participation, fun and includes activities such as surf safety, surfing, board paddling, board rescue, beach activities, basic resuscitation and basic first aid. Each age group progresses through various awards/certificates.


These programs are designed to provide an educational experience in a wide range of subjects and skills within the aquatic/marine environment. It prepares the Junior Lifesavers for their eventful transition to the marine/aquatic patrol environment of the senior movement. Surf Life Saving Queensland aims to promote the spirit of camaraderie and citizenship within the community.
