Baseball seasons vary around the state between summer and winter. In the south east corner the game is played in summer (October - March), the northern region play during winter.
It is a bat and ball sport, played between two teams. It is played with a smaller ball and larger field than Softball, with over-arm pitching.
The Under 8 age group play T-Ball, Under 10s play Rookie Ball (coach pitch). Both use a soft baseball. Under 12s play modified rules on a small field. Under 14s play on a slightly larger field with full rules and Under 16s up play on the full sized field.
